Style Out your Bridal Look with the Perfect Accessories

We know the importance of finding the right wedding dress can sometimes overshadow the other aspects that contribute to the overall bridal look, but let’s not let that happen any longer! If you are struggling to choose your bridal accessories, we have put together a selection of tips and advice to help you find your perfect finishing touches.

When should I start looking for my accessories?

It’s always best to find your dress before you begin choosing your accessories, to make sure everything co-ordinates the way you want them to. This doesn’t stop you looking, in the meantime, to gather ideas and find out what would suit you.

I don’t usually wear much jewellery, what should I wear for my wedding?

It’s up to you how much, or how little, you wear on your big day. There are beautiful, delicate accessories out there that you may feel more comfortable in than those which are statement pieces for some brides.

Gold or Silver Jewellery?

Silver remains a very popular choice as it goes well with white and ivory dresses, it can also be elegant and understated for brides who don’t like bold accessories. Gold jewellery however, is becoming more popular and usually goes well with champagne and gold-coloured dresses. Alternatively, blushed with pretty pink hues, rose gold is very on trend and is a nice change from silver or gold if you are looking for something slightly different.

Choice of Different Hair Accessories

Headbands
These are versatile and can be worn with hair down, half up or all up. You can have the band wrapped with ribbon to match your hair colour if you want it to blend in, or pears and crystals if you want it to stand out.

Hair Combs
Varying in size and shape, these work better if at least some of the hair is up. If you are wearing a veil, this could be kept on a separate comb that can be removed after the ceremony, leaving the decorative comb in.

Tiaras
All of the focus is on the front of your head with a tiara, but they are versatile in terms of working well with any hairstyle.

Bridesmaids

Some brides like to choose hair accessories for their bridesmaids that match or coordinate with their own, with some choosing different hair combs for each of their bridesmaids.

Hopefully, these tips will help you in deciding what accessories are for you, and how you will style your overall look. We stock a large range of accessories in-store that are simply stunning, come by and start your preparation now.
