Autumn is soon approaching us, and at this time of year, change in bridal fashion occurs once more. Whether you are planning your upcoming wedding, or dreaming of your perfect wedding dress, this season’s bridal runways are showing us a number of stunning trends; different to anything we’ve seen so far this year.

Take a look at the following on-season trends for the bridal industry, and see if you can spot your dream wedding dress:

Blink and you’ll miss the straps
This autumn’s collections are seeing something quite different, a very simple yet practical option; proving popular on the runway, the spaghetti strap. Making a statement in woman’s summer trends, this has been carried over to the bridal industry, providing the benefit of a strap without taking too much attention away from the rest of the dress.

Crop tops and cut tops
The crop top trend has taken front row so far this year, and has now moved into bridal gowns for autumn brides. Midriff-baring two-piece dresses have added heat to the early autumn collections, whilst the more covered-up separates seem primed for cold-weather affairs.

The Hollywood slit
The bridal runway certainly isn’t that far away from an A-list red carpet; more so now than ever. The long slit technique has been seen on a number of celebrity gowns over the past couple of years, so it’s no surprise this less demure option is now making waves with brides.

Optical illusions
Let your guests take a double-take with your wedding dress, with a gown that plays tricks on the eyes. Through a subtle illusion detailing along the arms and necklines; proving to be a more conservative way to show some serious skin.

Fully sleeved
One of the most highly anticipated trends for the autumn season is long sleeves, often meaning airy lace or sheer tulle versions so that the overall look still feels light. On the other hand, some sleeves are made from the same material as the bodice or with lacework that adds more texture and depth.
